ArtServe Michigan continues the tradition of
service through education, community arts development, advocacy, information,
volunteerism and direct support for arts and cultural activities. While
its roots are in services to those who create, teach and appreciate
our state's cultural activities, its future is in leveraging new growth
-- intellectual, educational, spiritual and economic -- through the
arts in Michigan's communities.
The singular role of ArtServe Michigan speaks
loudly in support of the critical role the arts, culture and education
play in maintaining and improving the quality life of our communities
as it brings together many different interests of Michigan's cultural
community for development of larger ideals and common interests. The
organization assists educators in developing formal arts curriculum;
supports individual artists as they create and present their work; recruits
and trains volunteers whose leadership skills will strengthen cultural
organizations and also translate into greater involvement between the
business sector and cultural community.
