CALL FOR SCULPTORS:  DEADLINE APRIL 1, 2003

The Cycling Salamander Fine Art Gallery in Charlevoix is seeking submissions for its 2003 Sculpture Park. The park will be open to the public July 1 - October 25, 2003. The opening reception is Saturday, July 19, 2003. The exhibit area consists of three acres of rolling terrain with pond, open meadow, and maple grove. CALL FOR GLASS ARTISTS:
The Hallmark Companies, an established glass business in Macomb County announces the opening of a new glass gallery and studio. The gallery will be launched in April in order to coincide with Michigan Glass Month. The Hallmark Companies will offer a unique opportunity for artists as it will be the only art gallery in Macomb County to deal exclusively in glass and mirror art. WAYNE COUNTY COUNCIL FOR ARTS, HISTORY AND HUMANITIES
is seeking artists from the Metro Detroit area to submit work for an invitational auction in conjunction with the St Vincent De Paul Society. Artists will receive a share of the auction proceeds. ARMORY ARTS PROJECT SEEKS ARTISTS FOR 
AFFORDABLE LIVE/WORK SPACE

The Armory Arts Project in Jackson, Michigan is seeking Letters of Interest from working artists of all disciplines who are interested in living and working in this unique arts and cultural facility slated for opening in mid 2005. The Project is spearheaded by The Enterprise Group of Jackson in partnership with nationally acclaimed nonprofit arts developer Artspace Projects, Inc.  The affordable living and working space is aimed at artists attempting to support themselves through their art and whose current annual household incomes roughly range from $20,000 to $30,000. The Letter of Interest questionnaire is available in a printable downloadable version at the Enterprise Group of Jackson's web site, www.enterprisegroup.org. The Allegan Area Arts Council seeks artists to participate in the Riverfront Art Fair on July 27, 2003. The council charges no commission and reserves the right to reject any work considered by the council board to be unacceptable. Booth fee is $40 and all work must be original. CALL FOR ENTRY: DEADLINE MARCH 17, 2003 and later
The Starkweather Art and Cultural Center seeks artists (individuals and groups) to exhibit in the year 2004 and beyond. Two and three-dimensional work by artists 18 and older will be considered. The Starkweather Art & Cultural Center (SACC), a non-profit art center, located at 219 N. Main Street in the Village of Romeo, Michigan, features two main exhibition galleries: The Ford Gallery and The Starkweather Gallery. All submissions for the Exhibition Galleries must be received by March 17, 2003 for 2004 exhibit consideration. Submissions received after that date will be considered for 2005 exhibitions. CALL FOR NATIVE AMERICAN ARTISTS:  DEADLINE APRIL 18, 2003
Ann Arbor, Michigan Artrain USA, presents a contemporary Native American exhibition (April 2004-December 2007), open to recent works that use or respond to technology by Native American artists. All media will be considered, including digital, CD-ROM, and video, related to technology and/or the modernity of cultures. Send resume, artist statement, slides or photographs of work and slides or pictures of previous installations if available. Curated by Joanna O. Bigfeather, the exhibition will travel onboard Artrain USA from 2004-2007.  Please limit the number of entries to 3 per applicant. Due to the nature of the gallery maximum space allowed per piece is 6 ½' in height x various widths x 3” in depth. Please describe use of space and any special requirements needed. The Leelanau Peninsula Vintners Association (LPVA), a collection of 10 wineries located on the picturesque Leelanau Peninsula, are seeking works of original art for its first commemorative print, to be part of a bi-annual print series, to reflect the wines, vineyards and beauty of the peninsula. The commemorative print will be the first in a series of prints that will come out every other year. A limited edition (100) print will be available to the public, framed and signed by the artist and the 10 winemakers of the Peninsula. The William Scripps Family Mansion and 102 acre gated estate in Lake Orion will be opening its doors to the public for the first time in nearly 50 years with the debut event "Art, Autos & Architecture at Scripps Mansion." The event will take place the weekend of July 25-27, 2003 and feature a fine art show, classic to new automobiles and tours of the mansion.
